Wheel, Brake and Powertrain Detail Video

A 10-second automotive detail video: a spinning alloy wheel and red brake caliper, a powertrain lit from inside, then an illuminated grille badge.

The brief

Client: Portfolio sample

The brief was a short, high-energy detail video: ten seconds that sell performance without showing the whole car. A clip like this works as the opening of a longer ad, as a Reels or TikTok post on its own, or as a loop on a model page — anywhere a viewer needs a reason to stop scrolling.

Detail shots are some of the hardest to get on a real shoot. A spinning wheel needs a rig and a moving car, and the parts under the body cannot be filmed at all without taking the car apart. So most car marketing leaves them out, even though the hardware is often what an enthusiast buyer cares about most.

How we made it

It opens on a single wheel in a dark studio: a multi-spoke alloy with a slotted brake disc and a red caliper behind the spokes. The camera pushes in until the caliper fills the frame, and then the wheel starts to turn, the spokes blurring into motion while the caliper stays sharp.

From there the video goes where a camera cannot: underneath the car. A cutaway of the powertrain lights up from inside, with lines of white light running along the cables and housings as if energy is flowing through them. The shot then rises to the front of the car and ends on the grille, where the badge lights up to close the video.

Every shot is lit low and cool against dark blue-grey backgrounds, so the red caliper and the white light are the only strong colours on screen. That contrast is what keeps a ten-second clip readable on a small phone screen, with the sound off, in a busy feed.

The video is AI-produced: no studio, no camera rig and nothing taken apart. Before delivery an editor checks that the wheel, disc and caliper hold their shape through the spin, because moving hardware is where AI video most often slips.

Worth knowing

This is a portfolio sample rather than a client order, so the production details show what a video like this takes on our current plans. At 10 seconds it fits every plan, including the Starter Pack.

Lettering on parts in this sample, such as the caliper logo, is decorative. On client work we check badging, trim details, wheel design and paint colour against your photos before delivery. Some platforms ask advertisers to label realistic AI-generated video, and a clip like this may need that label.
