Saltair HA Body Hydrator Ad

A 20-second ad for Saltair’s HA Body Hydrator: a drop forming at the pump, the serum spread on skin, and the bottle on wet stone by the sea.

The brief

Client: Saltair

Saltair needed a short social ad for its HA Body Hydrator, a hyaluronic acid body serum sold in a tall sea-green pump bottle. A body serum is a hard thing to sell on a phone screen. The buyer can’t touch it, and the thing they most want to know — what it is like on skin — is a texture question, not a visual one.

A still of the bottle doesn’t answer that. It shows the pack and the label, but nothing about what comes out of the pump or how it looks once it is on. That is the question a shopper scrolling past a skincare ad is actually asking.

The ad also had to carry the brand’s look: the pale green of the bottle, the coastal feel of the name, and the short list of facts on the label — hydrating, vegan, fragrance free — without turning into a list of claims read out over a packshot.

How we made it

It opens tight on the white pump nozzle, with a single clear drop of serum forming and hanging from the tip against a soft sea-green background. It is the first thing a viewer sees, and it answers the texture question before anything else: the serum is clear and fluid, not a cream.

The camera pulls back to a hand pressing the pump, with the label readable — HA Body Hydrator, hyaluronic acid body serum, fragrance free — and a blurred shoreline behind the bottle. The setting does the brand work: the sea behind the bottle ties it to the Saltair name without a word of copy.

The middle of the ad is the application. A dollop sits on the back of a hand, fingers spread it into a thin, glossy layer, and the next shot shows it smoothed along a forearm. Staying on the skin this long is deliberate. It shows how the serum spreads, which a buyer would normally only learn by trying it.

It closes on the bottle standing on a wet stone by the sea, with water droplets on the plastic and the front label turned to camera: Deeply Hydrating, Vegan, Fragrance Free. The final frame puts the product name on screen, so the last thing a viewer reads is exactly what to search for.
