The brief

Client: Portfolio sample

The job was a brand-style film for a single vehicle: a black four-door sports saloon. It needed the feel of a manufacturer’s launch spot — a big landscape, low morning sun and a car that looks expensive — cut down to 30 seconds and framed vertically for Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, where most people now watch car content first.

This is the kind of video a dealership rarely gets to make. Filming it for real means a location, a permit, a camera car or drone, a crew up before dawn and good weather on the day. For one car on the lot, that cost and planning almost never add up, so most vehicles go to market with photos only.

How we made it

The video opens wide and high. The saloon is small in the frame on a switchback road, with mist lying in the valley and the sun just clearing the ridge. The camera follows it down the road, then cuts in tight to the front of the car as the headlights switch on, so the grille, the lamp signature and the bumper fill the screen.

The middle section is about detail and motion. A low close-up holds on the five-spoke alloy wheel, then the camera slides along the front wing and tracks beside the car at speed, with pine trees blurring past behind it. A shot from behind picks up the tail lights and the long shadow the car throws across the tarmac.

It closes the way launch films do: an aerial view of the car taking a hairpin high above the valley, then a final hero shot of the saloon parked facing the camera, with sunlight flaring off the bonnet. Each shot lasts a few seconds, so the video keeps moving without losing the car’s shape or colour.

The video is AI-produced: no location, no drone and no crew. Because the car is generated again in every shot, an editor checks that it stays the same car throughout — the same black paint, the same wheels, the same headlight shape — before the video is delivered.

Worth knowing

This is a portfolio sample rather than a client order, so the production details show what a video like this takes on our current plans. At 30 seconds it fits the Growth plan’s length limit exactly.

For dealership inventory we work from the vehicle’s own listing photos and keep the car true to them, so the video shows the car a buyer will find on the lot. Some platforms ask advertisers to label realistic AI-generated video, and a clip like this may need that label.
