The brief
Client: Portfolio sample
An insulated bottle is one of the most crowded categories on Amazon, and almost every listing in it looks the same: a white-background hero, a row of feature callouts, and a size chart. A shopper scrolling the search page cannot tell two of them apart, so the listing video has to do the work the images cannot.
The specific problem with this product is that its selling points are physical rather than visual. The finish is matte rather than gloss. The lid is a wide mouth with a moulded carry loop rather than a screw cap with a straw. The body is a plain cylinder with no branding on it at all. None of that reads at thumbnail size, and none of it is a number you can put in a bullet point.
The video also had to work as a marketplace asset rather than a social ad. It plays muted in the image carousel next to the photos, it is watched by someone who has already decided they want a bottle and is now choosing between four of them, and it has to answer the questions that choice turns on: how big is it really, how does it carry, and where does it fit.
How we made it
It opens on the plain white studio cyc, with the bottle standing alone and turning slowly. That frame exists to match the main listing image, so a shopper who taps from the photo into the video does not feel like they have been shown a different product.
The second shot is an extreme macro that fills the frame with the lid and the top third of the body. At that scale the matte texture is visible, the moulded carry loop reads as a handle rather than a decoration, and the width of the mouth is obvious. This is the shot that answers the finish question, and it is the one a photograph cannot do.
From there the bottle moves through three places a buyer would actually use it. It stands beside a laptop on a wooden desk in a bright office, where a hand lifts it by the loop. It is picked up off a gym bench in a dark training room, and a man drinks from it mid-session. Then a hand slides it into the side pocket of a black backpack, which answers the "will it fit" question directly rather than with a dimension.
It closes back on the white cyc with the same hero framing it opened on. Bracketing the use shots between two identical studio frames keeps the product the subject, and it leaves the last frame of the video matching the first image of the listing.
The video is AI-produced: no studio booking, no gym hire and no model. Every scene is generated from the same product references, so the bottle has to stay identical across all six — the same matte black, the same loop, the same proportions — and that consistency is what an editor checks before the file is delivered.
Worth knowing
A portfolio sample, not client work. The product is unbranded and no brand name appears in the video.
The plan and turnaround shown on this page describe what a video like this takes on our current plans. They are not the terms of a particular order.
