The brief
Client: Portfolio sample
The brief was an outdoor product video for a lightweight folding camp chair: olive fabric with a mesh panel on each side, a black frame on crossed legs, and a carry bag. Camp chairs sell on two things at once — that they are comfortable to sit in and small enough to carry — and a flat product shot shows neither.
Outdoor gear is also bought on the trip the buyer is imagining. The chair needs to be somewhere a shopper would want to be, which means a location shoot at the right time of day.
A real version means taking a crew and the product to a lake in the mountains and shooting at sunrise and sunset for the light, with the weather deciding whether the day works at all.
How we made it
It opens on details: the logo on the seat fabric, the mesh side panel, the joint where the frame poles meet and the foot of a leg pressed into gravel. Four close-ups in the first seconds cover build quality before the chair is ever seen whole.
The chair then appears in full, first by a lake with a backpack beside it, then in front of a tent at sunrise. The packed carry bag being lifted next to a hiking pack covers portability in a single shot.
The second half settles on the chair by the water, with text building up over the landscape: “Lightweight. Comfortable. Adventure ready.” and “Take comfort anywhere”.
The last frame puts the logo and “Lightweight gear. Bigger adventures.” over the lake, with the chair in the foreground.
Worth knowing
This is a portfolio sample rather than a client order, so the production details show what a video like this takes on our current plans. At 19 seconds it fits within the Growth plan’s 30-second limit.
TrekNest is an invented brand made for this sample, and the chair is a concept product. On client work the product is built from your own photos, and the logo and fabric colour are checked against them before delivery.
The video is AI-produced. Some platforms ask advertisers to label realistic AI-generated video, and a clip like this may need that label.
