The brief
Client: Portfolio sample
The brief was a short technical showcase for a portable Bluetooth speaker — a soft-cornered fabric-wrapped unit with a carry strap. Speakers in this category all look broadly alike from the outside, so the outside is a poor place to argue for one over another. The argument is inside: the drivers, the passive radiator, the board and the battery.
A listing page normally makes that argument with a diagram and a bullet list, which almost nobody reads. Showing it as an actual object coming apart is far more persuasive, but filming it is impossible. You would have to physically dismantle a unit, and even then the parts would not hang in the air in the order that explains them.
The clip also had to survive being watched on a phone at arm’s length. Six seconds is not long enough for a slow build, so every shot had to be legible the moment it appeared.
How we made it
It opens with the speaker floating and turning against a deep orange gradient — one strong colour, no set, nothing to read but the product. The rotation shows the fabric grille, the rounded shell and the strap in the first second and a half.
It then cuts in close to the top of the unit, where the power, volume and Bluetooth buttons sit in a row, so the controls register as real hardware rather than icons on a diagram. This is the shot that answers the everyday question — what do I actually press?
The centre of the video is the exploded view. The shell opens outward and the parts separate and hold in mid-air: the fabric front, the top cover, the circuit board, two drivers, the battery pack and the smaller fittings, each far enough apart to be counted. Then it reassembles and the video ends on the finished speaker, turning, back where it started.
The video is AI-produced: no studio, no rig and no unit taken apart. The single-colour background is deliberate — it costs nothing to change, so the same video can be re-coloured to match a campaign or a brand palette without producing it again.
Worth knowing
This is a portfolio sample rather than a client order, so the production details show what a video like this takes on our current plans. At 6 seconds it fits every plan, including the Starter Pack.
The internal layout shown here is illustrative, not a teardown of a specific unit, and the branding visible on the speaker is part of the AI-generated source footage rather than a client engagement. On client work we build the product from your own photos and reference material, and we only show internals you have signed off. Some platforms ask advertisers to label realistic AI-generated video, and a clip like this may need that label.
